Udwarthanam Powder Massage

 

Udwarthanam powder massage is a traditional Ayurveda massage, which is performed in the upward direction using the warm herbal powders of Triphala, horse gram, pepper roots, and ginger.

This treatment helps in liquification of the fat below the skin, which helps to mobilize the fat and the lymphatic drainage. Furthermore, this treatment is also helpful in many skin problems and skin diseases.

When the powders are mixed with oil and rubbed together, (Snigdha Udwarthanam) they help in calming the Kapha. This then removes the blemishes of the skin, improves the flexibility of joints, eliminates body odor and tones the muscles.
