We enjoyed our 7 days at The Mangosteen Resort and were sorry to leave. The whole team at Mangosteen are so friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant onsite most nights and thank you Om and Oilly, who were so helpful in accommodating my dietary concerns and the food was exceptional. The walk to the main road took about 5-10 minutes where there were other restaurants and shops. The reception staff were very helpful in arranging transport for half day or full day tours, as well as taxi’s. We took a taxi to Rawai Beach & selected seafood from the fish market, there were restaurants opposite who will cook your seafood – so fresh and delicious. There is a shuttle bus available 3 times a day to Nai Harn beach, one of the best beaches. The water was so clean and warm, a must to have a swim there. The villas are very comfortable and the outdoor bathrooms are unique. Happy hours were enjoyed by most guests and the way the guests interacted was fabulous, we made quite a few new friends. Each night the owners Hajo and Rose were in the restaurant and always had a chat with us all. No wonder they have such a great team with the leadership that they show. We enjoyed massages, yoga and I really enjoyed the crystal bowl meditation. The grounds are very well kept and the pool magnificent. If you want seclusion that is easily done or if you want to mingle with other guests that is up to you. We would definitely love to return there for another holiday.
